The Emporia State basketball teams picked up wins over Lincoln Saturday.
The Lady Hornets pulled away in the 4th quarter on the way to an 88-72 win.
Emporia State Coach Toby Wynn liked the flow on offense.
Emporia State had 5 players score in double-figures led by Kali Martin with 22 points.
Karsen Shultz and Ehlaina Hartman both scored 16 points, Tre’Zure Jobe added 12 points, and Victoria Price finished with 10 points.
The Lady Hornets are now 12-11 for the season and 7-10 in the MIAA.
The Emporia State men defeated Lincoln 90-71. The Hornets and Blue Tigers traded the lead 7 times early in the game before Emporia State took the lead for good with an 8-0 run and led 48-33 at halftime. Emporia State Coach Craig Doty said he would take the win.
Tray Buchanan and Jumah’Ri Turner both finished with 24 points. Buchanan also led the team with 6 assists.
Mayuom Buom added 15 points and Brenden Van Dyde finished with 13 points.
The Hornets are now 18-6 and 13-5 in the MIAA.
The women host Missouri Western Tuesday.
Both the women and men play at Northwest Missouri State Thursday.
