Overall COVID-19 cases and deaths were up in Lyon County Public Health’s latest data report Wednesday.
31 new cases were reported putting the week’s overall total at 49 cases. The overall total increased to 9,977 since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020.
Deaths increased by one from 108 to 109 with seven deaths still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
According to KansasVaccine.gov, more than 56 percent of the county’s total population has been fully vaccinated while just over 60 percent of eligible residents have received a full vaccine series.
