Wintry weather will not damper spirits at Emporia State University Friday as birthday activities for the higher learning institution are still a go.
For the second consecutive year, the university will be hosting a virtual Founders celebration via Zoom. Marketing and Traditions Chair for ESU Ambassadors Hailey Kisner says they will have all of the traditional activities associated with the annual celebration including the recognition of the 1863 essay scholarship winners.
Cupcakes will be distributed across campus beginning at 1 pm and cake will be available inside the Memorial Union. The Founder’s Day celebration will begin at 11 am.
The Founders Day celebration is the culmination of I love ESU week which began Monday.
You can tune into the celebration online at www.hornet.digital/tv. For more information visit Emporia.edu.
