The Lyon County Commission will have a lengthy agenda ahead of them next Thursday.
Due to inclement weather, commissioners convened for a brief action meeting Thursday afternoon via Zoom. During that time, commissioners chose to postpone action on several purchases, agreements and bids including a nearly $40,000 consulting agreement for temperature control improvements and a $6,500 supplemental engineering services agreement for replacing a so-called domestic water storage tank at the Lyon County Law Enforcement Center.
A trio of purchase requests from Lyon County Engineer Chip Woods were also put on hold. All items will be placed on the commission’s action session agenda next Thursday morning at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
Ahead of their weekly action session, commissioners will convene with Emporia City Commissioners for their first joint meeting of the calendar year which was postponed two weeks ago due to inclement weather. The meeting will take place at 11:30 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Annex.
