Kansas Governor Laura Kelly says certain COVID-19 mitigation protocols are ending Friday for state employees and visitors.
Effective at 5 pm, Governor Kelly says state employees and visitors to state offices will no longer have to wear masks or facial coverings to conduct business. Masks will now be recommended, not required.
Kelly’s decision comes as COVID-19 cases fall off after the omicron peak a month ago. Vaccines and booster shots are also readily available if wanted.
