The Emporia High basketball teams will be on the road Friday night. They are scheduled to play at Topeka West.
The Emporia High girls are ranked 5th in 5A will be facing a team that is at the bottom of the 5A West standings. Coach Carolyn Dorsey says they cannot take anything for granted.
The Emporia High boys will be facing the number 2 ranked team in 5A.
Emporia High Coach Beau Welch hopes they build off of Tuesday’s win over Junction City.
The girls’ game is set to tip at 5:30 pm due to it being senior night and queen of courts night at Topeka West.
The boys’ game is set to tip at 7:15 pm.
Both games will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The featured games on Country 101.7FM have Lyndon at Madison.
According to Madison Athletic Director Justin Redeker, the games are still scheduled to be played.
Madison girls coach Vanessa Kresin hopes they can pick up where they left off with Tuesday’s win over Chase County.
Lyndon boys Coach Michael Massey says they will have to match Madison’s physicality.
Game times at Madison are set for 6 pm for the girls and 7:30 pm for the boys.
