Walnut Elementary’s education redesign plan is moving forward.
The Kansas State Board of Education has approved Walnut’s plan as part of the Kansans Can School Redesign Project to launch effective immediately.
School districts across Kansas have been re-evaluating their education methods since the redesign project was launched in 2017 with the underlying goal of having Kansas lead the world in the success of every student. Walnut joins over 180 schools in 80 districts approved for redesigned education across Kansas, including Emporia Middle School, Logan Avenue, Riverside, Timmerman, Village and William Allen White, after its plan was “cleared for launch” by a third-party Launch Readiness Committee.
