It took close to three hours, but a power outage affecting Strong City and a small part of Cottonwood Falls ended by mid-morning Tuesday.
The outage was reported shortly after 5:30 am on the southeast side of Strong City. Evergy has not reported a cause.
The outage affected Chase County Elementary in Strong City for around two hours, but power was restored shortly before the school day was supposed to begin.

Most of Strong City and a small part of Cottonwood Falls are without power Tuesday morning.
The outage was reported shortly after 5:30 am on the southeast side of Strong City. Close to 300 customers are offline.
Evergy hs not reported a cause. School is on as planned for USD 284 Chase County, with power restored to the elementary school in Strong City around 7:30 am.
