Lyon County Public Health announced less than 20 new coronavirus cases in its data set Wednesday.
Public Health announced 18 new cases after 15 were reported Monday, reflecting weekend traffic. Two new deaths were reported, pushing Lyon County’s total to 112.
Lyon County now has 10,039 total cases over the past 23 months. That reflects nearly a third of the county’s total estimated population of around 33,000.
Public Health Emergency Preparedness Director Jennifer Millbern will have an update on the current COVID-19 trends during KVOE’s Newsmaker segment at 7:15 am Thursday, shortly before Lyon County commissioners get an official update from Lyon County Public Health administrators in Thursday’s weekly action meeting.
