6 Area teams advanced from the first round of 1A girls sub-state play.
From the Olpe 1A-Division I tournament:
Madison defeated Colony Crest 48-25.
They will play Burlingame in the semi-finals next Friday.
Burlingame defeated Oswego 57-29.
Olpe slipped past Marmaton Valley 36-35 and will play St. Paul in the Semi-finals.
Saturday the Madison boys play Oswego with tipoff at 2 pm. The game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM. The winner will play Burlingame in Thursday’s semi-final.
From the Lebo 1A Division II Sub-State:
Hartford defeated Marais des Cygnes Valley 67-22.
Waverly outscored Altoona Midway 61-32.
Southern Coffey County was a 48-27 winner over Chetopa.
In next Friday’s semi-finals:
Lebo plays Southern Coffey County and Hartford plays Waverly.
