Traffic was momentarily disrupted on Interstate 35 in Emporia following a non-injury accident Monday afternoon.
Authorities were called to I-35 southbound near the Industrial Road exit around 3:30 pm after a semi became stuck in the center median. The semi was removed from the median and authorities cleared the scene just before 4 pm.
The Kansas Highway Patrol tells KVOE News no injuries were reported. According to Emporia Police Captain Ray Mattas, both the southbound and northbound inside lanes were blocked for roughly 30 minutes as crews removed the vehicle from the median.
Details on how the semi became lodged in the median have not been released.
