Nurses at Newman Regional Health now have the opportunity to be honored and recognized for quality patient care with The DAISY Award.
The DAISY Award is The DAISY Foundation’s way of thanking nurses for their hard work with patient care. Nurses may be nominated by patients, families, and colleagues by paper nominations or by visiting www.newmanrh.org/DAISYaward. Two awards will be given out anonymously through a committee at Newman Regional Health based on scoring criteria provided by The DAISY Foundation.
The DAISY Foundations is a not-for-profit organization, established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 from complications of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, a disease where the immune disease attacks blood platelets. Barnes’ family created the foundation in honor of the nurses who cared for him.
