The Emporia High boys basketball team wrapped their season with a 60-50 win over Newton Monday night.
The Spartans led wire to wire.
Freshman River Peters led the offense with a season-high 22 points. Junior Parker Leeds added 14 points and Sophomore Cooper Rech finished with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Coach Beau Welch called it a good way to close out the season.
The Spartans finish the season with a 4 and 17 record.
