An investigation into an aggravated burglary case in Bourbon County has led to the arrest of two suspects in Emporia Tuesday.
According to Emporia Police Cpt. Lisa Hayes, late Monday evening EPD was contacted by the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office regarding an aggravated burglary that reportedly occurred in the county involving suspects who were believed to be “heading to Emporia.” Two suspects identified as 57-year-old David Torrence of Stephens, AR and 61-year-old Dianne Grossenbacher of Emporia were both apprehended at a local grocery store around 10:30 am by Emporia Police.
Torrence was arrested on an Emporia Municipal Court warrant while Grossenbacher was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both were also questioned about the incident in Bourbon County.
During the investigation, Hayes says Emporia Police also executed multiple search warrants and stolen property from Bourbon County was reportedly recovered.
