Local residents are going bowling Saturday night for a great cause.
The tenth annual Bowling for Bentley will be taking place at Flint Hills Lanes. The event honors the memory of Bentley Clark who was born with a serious heart defect and passed away just two weeks after his birth.
Bentley’s mother Shelby Clark, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show, says this is a bittersweet year for the fundraiser as it will be the final Bowling for Bentley to be held. Clark says planning this year’s event has been somewhat “bittersweet.”
In addition to bowling, the event will also include an auction with all proceeds going to support the work of Ronald McDonald House. Shelby Clark says Ronald McDonald house provided a tremendous amount of support following Bentley’s birth back in 2012.
Bowling for Bentley will run from 6 pm to 9 pm.
All lanes are full for the event, however, Clark invites the entire community to come out and take part in the silent auction and hang out throughout the night. For more information find Bowling for Bentley on Facebook.
