The Emporia High girls will host Kapaun Mt. Carmel in a Sub-State championship game Saturday evening.
The Lady Spartans are coming off a 56-40 win over Valley Center. Kapaun surprised Goddard 39-32 in overtime.
Emporia High Coach Carolyn Dorsey would like to turn the game into an uptempo full-court game.
Tipoff at Emporia High School is set for 6 pm.
The winner advances to the 5A State tournament which will be played at Emporia’s White Auditorium.
