Emporia State baseball picks up first MIAA win

The Emporia State baseball team outscored Fort Hays State 13-2 to earn their first MIAA win Saturday.
The Hornets scored 3 runs in the 3rd, 6th, and 7th innings.
Noah Geekie was 5 for 5 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Blake Carroll was 2 for 4 including a 2 run home run in the 6th inning. He also scored 5 runs.
Sam Chaput was 2 for 6 including a solo home run. T.J. Racherbaumer drove in 3 runs.
Jarrett Seaton was the winning pitcher going 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 9 strikeouts.
The Hornets and Tigers wrap up their 3 game series Sunday afternoon.
