The Jayhawk Council Sojadi District is kicking off a big fundraising campaign with its Friends of Scouting Breakfast on Wednesday.
The fundraising goal is $80,000, and spokesman Steve Harmon says proceeds will benefit Scouts in several ways.
There are 10 community table hosts — Ken Weaver, Ken Roemer, Brad Kraft, Caron Daugherty, Jim Russell, Jim Wayman, Lenny Spellman, Casey Headley, Marc Fusaro, Roger Leek and Tony Leek. Guest speakers include Timothy and Clara Kessinger, both Eagle Scouts, and Kansas Lieutenant Governor and Commerce Secretary David Toland.
