The Emporia State baseball team outscored Southwestern Oklahoma State 12-4 Tuesday.
Blake Carroll hit a solo home run in the 1st inning to give Emporia State an early lead. Southwestern Tied the game with a 3 run 4th inning. Emporia State retook the lead with a 3 run 5th inning and blew the game open with a 5 run 7th inning.
Lukas Rich was 3 for 5 with 2 RBI. Chandler Bloomer drove in 3 runs. Javier Pena, Blake Carroll, and Dylan Werries also drove in 2 runs.
Emporia State resumes MIAA play this weekend with a series at Central Missouri.
