Osage County deputies have arrested a Wichita woman on suspicion of drug distribution.
Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest of 24-year-old Emajen Avery followed a traffic stop on Interstate 35 near the Melvern exit shortly after 4 pm Monday. Wells says illegal narcotics were found on Avery, so she was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Formal charges are pending.
Wells says Osage County deputies received help from the Coffey County Sheriff’s Office and Waverly Police Department with this case.
