Emporia Fire is investigating after a small fire early Tuesday evening.
Battalion Chief Ryan Conley says crews from Emporia, Americus and Olpe were dispatched to 1753 Road E Lot 390 inside the Green Acres Mobile Home Park shortly after 5:40 pm. There was a fire at the home’s entrance that was put out quickly.
Conley says the fire apparently started on the outside of the home near the junction of the door and the porch. The cause hasn’t been determined.
No injuries were reported. Americus and Olpe crews were canceled before reaching the fire scene.
