LIFE TIME WAREHOUSE & VOLUNTEER MANAGER
Life Time Events is in search of a part-time worker to assist with the management of three particular bicycle racing events and provide operations support at several other events in the calendar. This position would work in support of the Race Director in Emporia, Kansas to
organize Garmin UNBOUND Gravel, the UNBOUND Spring Camp, and Life Time Big Sugar. Travel and assistance at these other events is possible: Crusher in the Tushar, Leadville Trail 100 MTB and 100 Run, Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, The ‘Rad Dirt Fest, and Austin Rattler.
Duties of this position include:
● Recruiting and communicating with volunteers for UNBOUND Gravel and Big Sugar,
both through local volunteer organizations and those that have signed up individually
● Being the point of contact for volunteers during event weekends, providing a “landing
zone” to distribute t-shirts, equipment, food, and instructions
● Organizing food and water procurement and distribution for volunteers
● Assisting with warehouse and equipment organization, including receiving and sending
shipments, managing physical logistics, packing and delivering equipment
● Providing support in event operations during event weekends when not in direct
opposition to volunteer management roles, including setup/teardown of event venues.
● Operations support without volunteer management at the above listed “other events”
● Occasional travel is required for assisting at the other events as well as for Big Sugar,
including several trips to Bentonville ahead of that event in October to meet in person
with local volunteer groups
● Generally around 20 hours of work per given week, with the exception of event weeks
which are often require 60+ hours
Compensation and benefits of this position include:
● $16/hr starting pay, with 1.5x pay for any time exceeding 40 hours in a given week
● Potential for this role to become a more established, full-time position with Life Time
● Being an integral role at the heart of some of the most exciting and prestigious cycling
events in the country. Event weekends are a lot of work but so much fun!

Requirements of applicants:
● Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage volunteers
● A keen logistical mind for managing and organizing equipment
● Strong physical health for carrying and loading equipment
● A love of cycling events, particularly of UNBOUND Gravel and for the city of Emporia
