The season is over for the Kansas State men’s basketball team. The Wildcats were outscored by West Virginia 73-67 in the first round of the Big-12 Tournament Wednesday.
West Virginia used an 8-0 run late in the game to seal the win.
Kansas State had 3 players score in double-figures led by Nijel Pack with 18 points. Mark Smith finished with 17 points. Ish Massoud added 13 points.
The Wildcats finish the season with a 14 and 17 record.
West Virginia will play Kansas Thursday afternoon with tip-off set for 2 pm. The Jayhawks are the number 1 seed.
The game will be broadcast on KVOE-1400AM/96.9FM.
Thursday’s other games at the Big-12 tournament have Texas playing TCU with tipoff at 11:30 this morning.
The evening session begins with Baylor playing Oklahoma at 6 pm.
In the late game, Texas Tech plays Iowa State.
Wichita State opens play in the AAC Tournament Thursday. The Shockers will play Tulsa with tipoff at 2 pm.
