An Emporia Police investigation continues after a crash involving a motorcycle in east Emporia early Monday.
Police Capt. Ray Mattas says the crash happened in the 100 block of Union after midnight. Mattas says 31-year-old Adolfo Martinez of Emporia was taken to Newman Regional Health with undisclosed injuries afterward. The extent of those injuries is not being released and there is no word on whether other vehicles were involved.

8:30 am Monday: Injury wreck involving motorcycle in east Emporia under investigation
Emporia Police officers are investigating after a crash involving a motorcycle in east Emporia early Monday.
Emporia Fire Battalion Chief Jesse Taylor says a motorcycle crashed at Second and Union a bit before 2 am. The driver was taken to Newman Regional Health with undisclosed injuries. That person’s name has not been released.
