State lawmakers representing Lyon County have been invited to attend the latest Legislative Dialogue this upcoming weekend, and the public is encouraged to attend as well.
The Dialogue is Saturday at the Flint Hills Technical College main campus, 3301 West 18th. Coffee and rolls will be served at 8 am, with the discussion beginning at 8:30 am.
All four lawmakers representing Lyon County — 17th District Senator Jeff Longbine, 60th District House Representative Mark Schreiber, 51st District House Representative Ron Highland and 76th District House Representative Eric Smith — have been invited to attend. Lawmakers start the process with updates on legislative matters before a Q&A session closes the event.
Legislative Dialogues are organized by the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce Government Matters Committee and the Emporia League of Women Voters.
