The Kansas City Royals were busy Wednesday.
They signed Zach Greinke to a 1-year deal.
The Royals drafted Greinke in 2002 and he made his major league debut with the Royals in 2004. He won a Cy Young award with the Royals in 2009.
He has also pitched for Milwaukee, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona, and Houston.
The Royals also traded pitcher Mike Minor to Cincinnati for relief pitcher Amir Garrett.
