Lyon County’s weekly new coronavirus total came in under five following Friday’s end-of-week report.
With a single new case reported by Public Health, the week’s total came to three cases nudging the overall total to 10,130 cases since the start of the pandemic. This is the first time a weekly total has been in the single digits this year.
Friday’s report was the sixth straight to have an increase of fewer than 10 new cases and the third consecutive report to have fewer than five new cases after two were reported Monday and no increase was reported Wednesday.
Deaths again were unchanged remaining at 114 with one case still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
