The Kansas women’s basketball team rolled to a 77-58 win over Georgia Tech Friday night to advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament.
Coach Brandon Schneider said the defense set the tone.
Holly Kersgieter led KU with 19 points.
The 19 point win is the largest margin of victory in NCAA Tournament play in school history.
They will play defending Champion Stanford Sunday night in the 2nd round with tipoff at 8 pm.
Stanford defeated Montana State 78-37.
The Kansas State women play their first-round game Saturday against Washington State.
Tipoff in Raleigh, North Carolina is set for 10:30 this morning.
