The latest KVOE News poll indicates strong support for one time all year instead of changing clocks twice a year.
The poll asked whether you agree with the US Senate’s unanimous vote to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, and better than 80 percent did with 163 votes. Only 17 percent, or 33 votes, said they did not like that idea.
Social media was also largely in favor of a single time, with 27 votes for a permanent Daylight Saving Time. Four chose an option not in the poll, making Standard Time permanent. Two said they didn’t mind which time was permanent, so long as there was just one time through the year. Two others said they did not like making Daylight Saving Time permanent.
The US House still needs to approve, and President Joe Biden has to sign the legislation before it would go into effect next year.
