Two major projects for the Emporia Recreation Commission will have discussion Monday.
The Rec Commission’s board will look at expanding the Lee Beran Recreation Center as well as plans for upgrades to Whittier Park.
Other business includes an update on the recently-completed Class 5A state basketball tournament at White Auditorium and the annual approval of the Rec Commission’s agreement with the city of Emporia for operating Jones Aquatic Center. Leadership team updates are also planned.
The meeting starts at 5:30 pm at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
