The Bowyer Community Building will transform into the “Hall of Justice” Friday night as it plays host to the 2022 SOS Hope-A-Palooza.
Hope-A-Palooza is the agency’s largest annual fundraiser which had to be canceled the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. SOS Community Relations Director Kari Wedel says the event’s absence did have a clear effect on the agency.
The theme for this year’s event is “heroes” and SOS is encouraging attendees to dress up and embrace their inner superhero. The evening will include dinner, drinks, a live auction, awards and music by Savanna Chestnut and the Field Hands.
The evening’s activities will also include a time of recognition for the participants of the recent “Heroes for Hope” fundraising event that has taken place over the past month. The event is completely sold out, however, SOS still encourages residents who would like to donate to the organization to do so either online at SOSkansas.com or by calling 620-343-8799.
Hope-A-Palooza will run from 5:30 pm until 10:30 pm.
