The Emporia High girls soccer team won their home opener Friday night defeating Junction City 1-0.
Emeil Bennett scored the lone goal for the Lady Spartans.
Coach Oscar Macias said there was an improvement from Thursday’s loss to Wichita North to Friday’s win.
They will begin play in the Titan Classic Monday against Wichita Northwest.
