Word on a first court appearance date is now pending for an Emporia man after an alleged robbery attempt recently.
A single count of attempted robbery is now on the books in Lyon County District Court against Darren Hutcherson, age 57. Hutcherson is accused of trying to rob Max’s BP at 202 East Sixth in downtown Emporia on Thursday. Emporia Police arrested Hutcherson after a third-party call.
