The Emporia State baseball team walked off with a 3-2 win over Missouri Southern in 10 innings Sunday.
Kadyn Williams singled with 2 outs to drive in Kase Johnson with the winning run.
Southern scored 2 runs in the top of the 5th inning. Emporia State scored a run in the 8th inning when Sam Chaput scored on a Blake Carroll single. The Hornets tied the game in the 8th when Kase Johnson scored on Sam Chaput sacrifice fly.
Noah Geekie earned the win in relief. He appeared in the 8th inning and again 10th inning. He was also the starting left-fielder.
The Hornets travels to Pittsburg State Tuesday.
