The Emporia State softball team swept a doubleheader from Central Missouri Sunday.
The Lady Hornets won the first game 5-2. They scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning and added single runs in the 5th and 7th innings.
Emma Furnish led the offense going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.
Gracie Rabe was the winning pitcher, going the distance giving up the 2 runs on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts.
Emporia State won the 2nd game 5-2. The Lady Hornets took the lead for good scoring 3 runs in the 5th inning. Brittanie Shepherd drove in two of the runs with a double.
The Emporia State softball team improves to 16-16 for the season and 5-3 in MIAA play.
