Missouri Western defeated the Emporia State womens tennis team 6-1 in the MIAA opener for the Lady Hornets.
Karen Santiago Sanchez earned the lone win for the Lady Hornets at number 3 singles.
Missouri Western won all 3 of the doubles matches and won 5 of the 6 singles matches.
The Lady Hornets will play at Northeastern State on Friday.
