The Emporia State baseball team was outscored by Pittsburg State 11-2 Tuesday.
The Hornets took an early 2-0 lead on a Sam Chaput 2 run home run in the 3rd inning.
Pittsburg State scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd and took the lead for good with a 5 run 4th inning. They added 3 more runs in the 7th inning and 2 runs in the 8th inning.
Emporia State falls to 11-19 for the season and 5-12 in the MIAA. They will play a 3 game series at Rogers State beginning Friday.
