Waterline improvement work has begun on a major roadway in Emporia.
According to Emporia City Clerk Kerry Sull, the city’s contractor has commenced improvement efforts on a stretch of 6th Ave. (US Highway 50) from Woodland to Lincoln. The project may take up to five months to complete, weather permitting.
Lane closures may occur at times throughout the project’s duration, however, through traffic will be maintained at all times. Motorists are told to follow all traffic control measures around the site.
