The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipient of the 2021 Business of the Year Award, The Olpe Chicken House.
The Chicken House began operations in 1958 and since that time has built a loyal customer base both within Olpe and the surrounding area and has gained national notoriety for its service. The Chicken House has been recognized as one of America’s premier chicken restaurants in publications such as American Airline Magazine, American Way and USA Today.
The Chicken House will be formally recognized during the Emporia Area Chamber’s 124th annual meeting later this year. The Chamber will also recognize the 2021 Chamber Volunteer of the Year, as well as the recipients of the 2021 Community Impact and Lifetime Achievement awards.
