The Emporia State softball team extended their winning streak to 6 in a row with a doubleheader sweep of Northwest Missouri State Friday.
They won the first game 8-0 in 5 innings, ending the game with a 3 run 5th inning. Roni Rains led the offense going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI.
They won the 2nd game 8-0 in 5 innings. The Lady Hornets scored 3 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings. Maddy Broxterman drove in all 3 runs in the 2nd inning with a double.
The Emporia State softball team hosts Missouri Western in a doubleheader Saturday. First pitch for game 1 at the Trusler Sports complex is set for 2 pm. Game 1 will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
