The Kansas City Royals cut their roster down to 34 players Saturday. They will need to cut down to 28 for opening day.
The players that will start the season in Omaha have left camp since they open their season on Tuesday.
It has not been officially announced but it appears that Bobby Witt Jr will be the opening day third baseman.
The rest of the infield will be Adalberto Mondesi at shortstop, Nicky Lopez at 2nd, and Carlos Santana at 1st. Salvador Perez will be the starting catcher. In the outfield, Andrew Benintendi will be in left, Michael A. Taylor in Center, and Whit Merrifield in rightfield.
The Royals have 3 more spring training games before they open the season against Cleveland on Thursday. Sunday the Royals play Seattle.
