The Emporia State softball team’s six-game winning streak came to an end Saturday as Missouri Western swept a doubleheader from the Lady Hornets.
Western won the first game 2-1. A 2 run home run in the 3rd inning was the difference for Western.
In the 2nd game, Western powered past the Lady Hornets 9-7. The Griffons hit 4 home runs in the game. McKensy Glass hit a 2 run home run in the 4th inning for Emporia State.
Emporia State Coach April Rosales called it one of those days.
The Lady Hornets are now 18-18 for the season and 7-5 in MIAA play. They will play at Nebraska Kearney this coming Friday.
