Strategic planning is about to ramp up for the Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas.
During the monthly RDA Board of Directors meeting Friday morning, RDA President Chuck Scott stated the board will begin an in-depth series of strategic planning meetings Monday afternoon. Scott says the focus of the meeting will be on “people”, namely retention and recruitment, as the RDA is looking to “start from scratch” in bolstering the local workforce.
Scott says Monday’s meeting will include the RDA Board and local community partners and will serve as a “brainstorming session.” He says they are looking to bring any and all ideas to the table.
Following Monday’s meeting, Scott says the RDA will then look to begin reaching out to the local community to gain additional insight into further needs aside from what local businesses and industries are facing. The RDA Board will reconvene for its monthly meeting in May, inside the Trusler Business Center.
