Emporia State softball split with Nebraska Kearney Friday.
Emporia State won 1st game 2-1 in 8 innings. Lexi Williams hit a solo home run in the 8th for the game-winner.
Nebraska Kearney won the second game 7-5. They scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning. Emporia State tied the game at 4 in the top of the 5th. Kearney would retake the lead with 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th.
Saturday Emporia State plays at Fort Hays State.
