In a sense, Ali Geitz is coming home with her newest job title.
Geitz started her education career 20 years ago by teaching fourth grade at Sacred Heart. Last week, she was named as Sacred Heart’s principal.
Geitz has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Emporia State University as well as master’s degrees in adaptive special education and educational leadership. She is also certified as a reading specialist and is working towards her doctorate in school leadership.
Geitz and her husband, Jon, have two children. She replaces Darby O’Neill, who has been leading Sacred Heart since 2018 and is moving to the Kansas City area.
