Sheriff’s offices in Chase and Marion counties are still asking for help in finding a man who was apparently involved in a crash almost a week ago.
Chase County Sheriff Richard Dorneker says Jason Hinton apparently crashed a white Ford Ranger pickup on private property near Cedar Point around 7:30 pm April 5. Dorneker says the crash happened near US Highway 50 milepost 318. Hinton apparently walked away afterward.
Hinton is 44. He’s a white man, 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds, with balding dark hair, gray eyes and brown goatee. Kansas Missing and Unsolved says Hinton is an insulin-dependent diabetic and it’s unclear if he had any insulin with him at the time of the crash.
If you have information about Hinton and his whereabouts, call the Chase County Sheriff’s Office at 620-273-6313, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 620-382-2144 or the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 785-296-4017.
