The Royals tied the game in the 2nd inning on home runs by Salvador Perez and a 2-run home run by Michael A. Taylor.
St. Louis retook the lead with a 3-run home run in the 4th inning.
The Royals added single runs in the 7th and 8th inning. Salvador Perez hit a solo home run in the 8th.
