Emporia High has selected the next Head Boys Basketball Coach. The hiring of Lee Baldwin was approved by the USD253 Board of Education at Wednesday night’s meeting.
Coach Baldwin comes to Emporia after spending last season at Goddard High School and 8 seasons at Cheney High School.
Coach Baldwin says Emporia High checks all the boxes.
Coach Baldwin also said it is exciting to take over a well-run program.
Coach Baldwin says there is one thing he wants from his players.
Coach Baldwin says the first season will be spent finding out what will work best for the players.
Coach Baldwin was selected from a group of about 20 applicants.
Coach Baldwin will take over for Beau Welch who will become the Athletic Director at Emporia High next school year.
