Residents interested in electric vehicles — and specifically charging stations — are encouraged to call in for a special town hall meeting Thursday evening.
The Kansas Department of Transportation is organizing the meeting, which will include information about possible costs, locations and benefits to state investments in these charging stations. This also comes with KDOT already approving a charging contract for the Kansas Turnpike’s Matfield Green service exit 30 miles southwest of Emporia and a contract announcement pending for Emporia itself.
Residents can register online and be automatically connected for the meeting, which starts at 6:30 pm. Click here for the link. Residents can also call directly to 888-410-3427 to listen or participate.
