Lyon County Commissioners approved a trio of requests from Lyon County Engineer Chip Woods as part of their regular action meeting Thursday morning.
Woods presented a purchase request for a used 2019 Trackhoe from Foley Construction at a cost of just over $170,200. In addition to approving the purchase, commissioners also approved the trade-in of the county’s 2008 Trackhoe.
Woods also submitted an entrance application from Colby Watters in the 1490 block of Road 130 for commission approval along with a request to utilize private contractors to haul hot mix asphalt. All items were approved unanimously.
Commissioners spent the remainder of the meeting in executive session. Two sessions were held for non-elected personnel matters and two for legal purposes.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene for its weekly action meeting next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
